JALAYA aquariums are available in 3 sizes: 2 large versions, JALAYA XL, with 18.7 litres and JALAYA XXL, with 31.5 litres, and the smaller JALAYA 2, with 10 litres.

These small aquariums, sometimes called nano cubes, are perfectly suited to fish such as betta splendens and other small freshwater fish.

Each model rests on a wooden base, to add an elegant, natural touch. The glass tank of the 10 litre version is fitted with silicone pads for optimum stability and a good finish. A foam mat is supplied for the XL and XXL versions to ensure that the weight is evenly distributed over the entire surface. 

What is a nano aquarium?

Nano aquariums are small habitats, generally between 10 and 30 litres. They’re perfect for aquarium enthusiasts who want to create a small ecosystem at home. Their compact size makes them particularly suitable for modern interiors and small spaces.

They are often used for:

• Creating a dedicated habitat for one or two specific species (e.g. an aquarium for betta).
• Showcasing aquatic plants, combining different species such as Java moss and Anubias.
• Adding a decorative touch to your office, living room or bedroom.

Choosing a nano aquarium ?

To choose the right nano aquarium, start by thinking about the space you have available and the species you want to keep. If you’re planning to keep a betta splendens, a 20-litre aquarium will be ideal for providing it with a comfortable space. The Jalaya XL version is perfect for your betta fish.

For shrimps or nano fish, a volume of 10 to 15 litres, like the Jalaya 2, may be sufficient, as long as you maintain good water quality with a good filtration system. 

Also, consider the equipment included with the aquarium. High-performance LED lighting is essential for highlighting aquatic plants and providing a natural environment for your fish. You should also make sure that the aquarium has a suitable lid to prevent your fish splashing and jumping around.
