Retro, part of our history

Retro is the tale of a small seed store, which opened its doors in 1933, in a pedestrian street in the centre of Saintes (Charente-Maritime).
Madeleine and Fernand, the store’s owners, never imagined that they had just written the first page of the Zolux story. The seed store gradually began selling bird and rodent cages, then over the years expanded its collection of pet products and accessories.

Inspired by the history of Zolux, Retro is a range of bird and rodent cages adapted to modern requirements. Made from metal and attached to a wooden tray, these cages manufactured in Europe have been designed in a unique vintage style to complement your home decor. Easy to assemble, the optional stands have an original but simple design which matches the cages perfectly.
